In collaboration with the DNBIA (Downtown Nanaimo Business Association), the Storefronts Project began as a fledgling idea and blossomed into a summer long initiative showcasing the work of eight local artists & designers.
Custom created themed installations by the afore mentioned creative minds, animated the empty spaces of ten different downtown commercial locations. With the intent to create a vision of the potential each space could become, the Storefronts projects primary message is to engage and motivate the public to visit each location and clearly communicate to visitors and locals alike, the energy of our local creative culture and downtown community.
